A Bit of Listening…
The Rest Is Politics (Podcast):
Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart lift the lid on Westminster politics and international relations. Staunch labour and broadly conservative views amicably clash in agreeable disagreement, as the two hosts take a deep analytical dive into an astonishing range of political hot points: Partygate, Rwanda, Iraq, Scottish nationalism, French populism, and Rory’s often slated educational background.
Your Undivided Attention (Podcast):
Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin explore the incredible power that technology has over our lives, focussing especially on issues of disinformation and how we can make technology more humane. Recent episodes have discussed digital democracy, the invisible influence of language, and Elon Musk’s desire for Free Speech and potential ownership of Twitter.
The Watchlist…
Slutever (Youtube Series):
VICE Youtube series exploring sexuality, relationships and voyeurism across different countries and cultures. Forthright, provocative, and positively progressive in equal measure. The most viewed episodes have looked at polyamory, ecosexuality, the Mormon war on porn and how to be a sugar baby
Abstract: The Art of Design (Netflix Series):
Basically design porn and a really good introduction to several different design forms. We particularly recommend the episode on Bjarke Ingels.
A Good Read…
The Unpublishable (Substack):
Substack by Jessica DeFino, a beauty reporter at The New York Times, Vogue, and Allure covering supportive, sustainable skincare through the lens of science and spirituality. Her newsletters deal with uncovering the truth about the beauty industry- ‘What they won’t tell you, from a reporter on a mission to reform it’ .
